User Profile

I love music. So much that I'm giving it a go, again. The first time was in college, when I started as a music major and finished as a computer science major with minors in music and math. This time around, it's as a student at an amazing audio engineering program here in Kansas City. Will I land a dream job that will allow me to work with a huge variety of musicians on a weekly basis, or have the ultimate privilege of mixing music for a living? The odds seem long - the music industry is tanking in a financial way - but I know I have the passion and soon to have the skill to be good at it - good enough to make money, or so I hope. :)

I am otherwise what would be classified as a nerd, loving things like movies, games, books (though I need to kick myself in the rear to start reading more), cats, my guitars and keyboard, computers, sci-fi/fantasy, comi-err, graphic novels... you know the deal. Right?? I currently have 3 roomates, 2 of whom I've been best friends with since 1999 or so, and a 3rd who is a... a... GIRL... *gasp* who is also amazing, and a super great companion to one of them. I have 2 amazing kitties that chose to adopt us, how sweet of them. And I have no brothers or sisters, but I do have a pair of nifty parental units, in nearly mint condition! And I have a super smart and purty girlfriend for the first time in years. How'd a nerd like me get so lucky??

Here's a slightly less boring, but far more inane-sounding version of me pulled from my myspace (my mymyspace? my my!):
